It is the winter and that means shorter days, colder weather, ice and snow. During this time of year, people get also concerned with getting sick. There are some simple things we can do to enhance our immunity system during the winter season through the technology of Kundalini Yoga.


The winter is a powerful time for growth as it provides an opportunity to retreat and go inward. Much of what we work on in the winter, sets the intentions for the remainder of the year. The body slows down during the winter and it is time to really listen to yourself.

Aquarian Morning Sadhana

Sadhana means daily spiritual practice to train the body and mind to serve the soul. Sadhana is a calm, serene way to approach your day.  We practice Sadhana during what are called the “ambrosial hours” just before sunrise, when the sun is at a sixty-degree angle to the Earth, the energy you put into your Sadhana gets maximum results. Your world is quieter. 

 

It is a disciplined practice of yoga and meditation techniques to expand our inner beauty.  Sadhana engages us in a process of spiritual awakening to be in a conscious state of being.  Some say it’s like an energetic bath.  Our mind, body, emotions and subconscious need a daily bath so that we can present our radiance not our garbage.  It’s where we can let go, surrender and trust our soul.

We are the moon, we are the stars. When the moon moves, the oceans and rivers move, we move.  How could we feel disconnected from the natural world when every movement in the universe impacts each of us each so profoundly. On some level, we feel it.  The moon is one of the easiest connections to notice, as we feel its impact on our moods, our flows, our ways of feeling and being. Tonight as I sit under this big full moon I am inspired to share with you the meditation that keeps me in ease with the moon as she waxes and wanes, pulling us with her.
